Welcome to China Censorship Watch.
In November 2010, the editor was surprised to find himself censored on an American website for stating that the People's Republic of China is still a Communist country. The editor soon discovered that the PRC government has unilaterally decided that it will no longer tolerate its country being labeled Communist China, and any discussion regarding the PRC being Communist is to be suppressed.
After the initial shock at the vehemence of the censorship, the editor was frightened by the scope of the problem as more and more evidence appeared. The editor discovered for himself that the censorship is now taking place throughout the global internet, not only in the People's Republic of China
The editor decided to start a website to report on and share information regarding censorship by the People's Republic of China so as to raise awareness of this insidious threat to free speech. This website is the editor's first effort at activism for any cause.
Any advice and opinions on how to improve this website are greatly appreciated and anything which can reasonably be accomplished by the editor in his part time will be attempted.
